More Viable Cells. Unperturbed Phenotypes. Better Clonal Propagation.
Plate your cells, image your cells, choose your best cells, and isolate them all on one consumable. Drive down the cost per result with more efficient workflows and better downstream results.
The CellRaft AIR® Technology, which utilizes the CellRaft Array, gently sorts your cells, enhancing viability and reducing phenotypic disturbances compared to traditional methods.

By eliminating the numerous failed cloning attempts associated with a manual workflow, the CellRaft Array reduces the need for multiple tips and plates, while also saving time and effort.
CellRaft Technology’s proprietary culture dish, the CellRaft Array (see top image), boasts up to 40,000 microwells (see middle image), each featuring an innovative, releasable microscale growth surface known as a “CellRaft” (see bottom image).
When a cell suspension is introduced into the CellRaft Array’s square-shaped reservoir (see top image), a reasonable percentage of the cells will settle down onto its CellRafts, with their placement following a Poisson distribution.
Although the cells are physically separated (see middle image), they benefit from the shared media within the reservoir, enhancing their viability and proliferation. On a CellRaft, a single healthy cell begins to divide and develop into a colony.
Then, employing “user-defined” criteria, the CellRaft AIR System’s software scans and selects the desired cells or colonies. Lastly, the CellRaft AIR System gently transfers the releasable, cell-bearing CellRafts (see bottom image) into a 96-well plate, resulting in a plate filled with viable, validated colonies, complete with a comprehensive time-course audit trail.
