[AL199A] RPMI 1640 medium is extensively used for a wide range of anchorage dependant cell lines. The medium is known to support growth of cells both in presence of 5-20% FBS and in absence of FBS. AL199A contains 1mM sodium pyruvate, 2mM L-glutamine, 4.5gms per litre glucose, 2.0gms per litre sodium bicarbonate and does not contain HEPES buffer.
