Abstract:

Zebrafish (Danio rerio) and 3D cell cultures, including organoids and spheroids, are valuable and attractive model systems for in vitro replication of human-relevant phenomena in biomedical research. Disease modelling, toxicology and drug discovery are key application areas where large, image-based datasets must be captured with high quality and with reproducible results.  Automating experiments with these 3D models, which are in suspension and not adhering to surfaces, presents several challenges compared to traditional 2D cell culture systems.

In this webinar, we will explore how IDEA Bio-Medical’s Hermes automated imaging system ensures consistent, high-quality imaging for both zebrafish and 3D cell cultures. Paired with Athena's AI-powered analysis tools, these technologies enable faster, more reproducible results across diverse experimental setups.

We will also present real-world case studies on morphology screening, growth assays, and toxicology using zebrafish and 3D cell cultures, showing how our technologies streamline research workflows and provide fast, actionable insights.
